Account & Authentication

Why does LinkAssist need LinkedIn access?

We need access to:

  • Post on your behalf -To publish scheduled content
  • Analyze your writing style -To match AI-generated content to your voice

We do not access your private messages, connections list, or perform any actions without your explicit approval.

Is my LinkedIn account safe?

Yes. We use secure industry-standard authentication. Your LinkedIn password is never shared with or stored by LinkAssist. All credentials are encrypted and securely stored.

Can I disconnect my LinkedIn account?

Yes. Go to SettingsConnectionsDisconnect LinkedIn.

Note: After disconnection, you won't be able to publish posts until you reconnect.

Can I use multiple LinkedIn accounts?

Currently, each LinkAssist account connects to one LinkedIn account. For multiple LinkedIn profiles, you would need separate LinkAssist accounts.

Content & AI

How does the AI match my writing style?

The AI learns from:

  • Your onboarding questionnaire responses
  • Professional context you provide
  • Past LinkedIn posts (if you share them)
  • Your content preferences and settings

The more context you provide, the better the AI matches your style.

Can I edit AI-generated posts?

Absolutely! We encourage you to edit and personalize AI-generated content. The AI provides a strong starting point, and your personal touches make it authentic.

What if I don't like the generated content?

You have several options:

  • Regenerate -Get a completely new version
  • Edit manually -Modify the content yourself
  • Provide guidance -Try a more specific topic

Does LinkAssist post automatically?

Only posts you explicitly schedule or approve. You have full control over what gets published and when.

Are posts unique or could they be flagged as AI-generated?

Each post is generated uniquely for you based on your specific context and topic. We design content to sound natural and personal. However, we always recommend adding your personal touches to make content authentically yours.

Chrome Extension

Does the extension work on all LinkedIn pages?

The extension works on:

  • LinkedIn feed
  • Post pages
  • Profile pages

Some restricted areas (LinkedIn Learning, Admin tools) may not support the extension.

Why isn't the AI button showing?

Check that:

  1. You're logged into the LinkAssist extension
  2. The extension is enabled in Chrome
  3. You're on a supported LinkedIn page
  4. You've refreshed the page after installing

Is extension data synced with the main app?

Yes, your swipe file, authentication, and usage limits are synced in real-time between the extension and web app.

Billing & Subscription

What happens after my trial ends?

You're automatically moved to the Free plan (5 posts/month). No charges are applied unless you choose to upgrade.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, cancel anytime from SettingsBillingCancel Subscription. You'll retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period.

Do you offer refunds?

We offer full refunds within 7 days of purchase if you're not satisfied. Contact support@linkassist.ai with your transaction ID.

Is GST included in pricing?

For Indian users, GST (18%) is added to the plan price. The total amount (including GST) is shown during checkout, and GST breakdown appears on your invoice.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept:

  • Credit/Debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
  • UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm)
  • Net Banking
  • Digital wallets

Can I get a receipt for my company?

Yes. Update your billing details in SettingsBilling to include:

  • Company name
  • GSTIN (for Indian businesses)
  • Business address

Future invoices will include your company details.

Privacy & Security

What data do you collect?

We collect:

  • LinkedIn profile information (name, email, profile URL)
  • Content you create in LinkAssist
  • Usage analytics (posts generated, features used)

We do not collect:

  • LinkedIn messages
  • Connection lists
  • Browsing history outside LinkedIn

How is my data protected?

  • All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • LinkedIn credentials are securely encrypted
  • We use enterprise-grade secure infrastructure
  • Regular security audits and testing

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Contact support@linkassist.ai to request complete data deletion. We'll remove all your content, posts, and personal information within 30 days.

Do you sell my data?

No. We never sell your data to third parties. Your content and information are used only to provide the LinkAssist service.

Technical

Which browsers are supported?

Web App:

  • Chrome (recommended)
  • Firefox
  • Safari
  • Edge

Extension:

  • Chrome only (currently)

Is there a mobile app?

Not currently. The web app is mobile-responsive and works on mobile browsers, but we don't have dedicated iOS or Android apps yet.

Do you have an API?

Yes, for Enterprise plan users. The API provides programmatic access to post generation, campaigns, and publishing. See our API documentation.

What's your uptime guarantee?

We target 99.9% uptime. Check status.linkassist.ai for current status and incident history.

Usage & Limits

What counts as a "post"?

Each AI-generated post counts as one toward your monthly limit, whether you publish it or not. Regenerating a post counts as an additional post.

Do unused posts roll over?

No, unused posts don't roll over to the next month. Your quota resets on your billing anniversary.

What happens when I hit my limit?

You'll see a notification in the dashboard. You can:

  • Wait for your quota to reset next month
  • Upgrade to Pro for more posts
  • Continue editing and publishing existing scheduled posts
