Installation
Get the Extension
Visit the Chrome Web Store and search for "LinkAssist" or use the direct link from linkassist.ai.
Add to Chrome
Click "Add to Chrome" and confirm the installation when prompted.
Sign In
Click the LinkAssist icon in your browser toolbar and sign in with your LinkAssist account.
The extension automatically syncs with your main app account.
Start Using
Navigate to LinkedIn and you'll see LinkAssist icons in:
- Comment boxes (for AI comments)
- Posts (for saving to swipe file)

Generate thoughtful comments on any LinkedIn post:
- Click the AI icon in any comment box
- Select comment type (Engaging, Thoughtful, Question, Supportive)
- Review, edit, and post

- Access your saved posts from the dashboard
Requirements
- Browser: Google Chrome (latest version recommended)
- Account: Active LinkAssist account
- Permissions: Access to linkedin.com
Permissions Explained
The extension requests these permissions:

The extension only activates on LinkedIn and LinkAssist domains. It doesn't access any other websites.
Syncing with Main App
The extension syncs automatically with your LinkAssist dashboard:
- Authentication -Same login as your web app
- Swipe File -Saved posts appear in your dashboard
- Usage Limits -Shared with your subscription
- Settings -Preferences sync across platforms
Troubleshooting
Extension Not Showing
- Check that you're on linkedin.com
- Verify the extension is enabled in Chrome
- Try refreshing the LinkedIn page
- Ensure you're logged into LinkAssist
Not Logged In
- Click the LinkAssist icon in the toolbar
- Click "Sign In"
- Log in with your LinkAssist credentials
Features Not Working
- Check your subscription status (usage limits)
- Clear extension storage: right-click icon → Options → Clear Data
- Reinstall the extension if issues persist
Press Ctrl+Shift+L (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+L (Mac) to quickly open the
LinkAssist extension popup.
