Customize LinkAssist to match your workflow and preferences. Access settings from the dashboard navigation menu.

Profile Settings

Manage your personal information and professional context.

Personal Information

Update your basic account details:

Changing your time zone affects all scheduled posts. Existing schedules adjust automatically to your new time zone.

Help the AI understand your professional background:

  • Job Title: Your current role
  • Industry: Your professional field
  • Company: Where you work
  • Expertise Areas: Topics you're knowledgeable about
  • Target Audience: Who you create content for

Tip: Keep this updated as your role or focus changes. The AI uses this information to generate relevant content.

Content Preferences

Configure how the AI generates content for you.

Writing Style

Customize your content tone and style:

AI Settings

Fine-tune AI behavior:

  • Creativity Level (0-1): Lower values = more predictable, Higher values = more creative
  • Style Consistency: How strictly to match your past posts
  • Topic Suggestions: Enable AI-suggested topics based on trends
  • Auto-hashtags: Automatically add relevant hashtags

Start with default settings and adjust based on your results. Review your analytics to see what works best for your audience.

Posting Preferences

Set your default publishing options.

Default Settings

Configure how posts are scheduled and published:

Scheduling Options

  • Default Days: Preferred days of the week for posting
  • Post Frequency: How often you typically post
  • Buffer Time: Minimum time between posts
  • Avoid Weekends: Skip Saturday/Sunday by default

Notification Settings

Control when and how you receive notifications.

Email Notifications

Choose which events trigger email alerts:

  • Post Published -Confirmation when a post goes live
  • Campaign Completed -When all campaign posts are published
  • High Engagement Alert -When a post performs exceptionally well
  • Subscription Expiring -Reminder before subscription renewal
  • Payment Receipts -Invoice and payment confirmations
  • Weekly Summary -Weekly performance digest

In-App Notifications

Configure dashboard notifications:

  • Scheduled Post Ready -Post is ready for review
  • Generation Completed -AI finished creating content
  • Comment on Your Post -Someone commented on your LinkedIn post
  • System Updates -Important platform announcements
  • Usage Warnings -Approaching monthly limits

Disabling all notifications may cause you to miss important updates about scheduled posts or subscription issues.

LinkedIn Connection

Manage your LinkedIn integration.

Connection Status

View your current LinkedIn connection status:

  • Connected -Active connection, posts can publish
  • Expired -Token expired, needs reconnection
  • Disconnected -No active connection

Reconnecting LinkedIn

If your connection expires:

Go to Settings

Navigate to Settings → Connections

Click Reconnect

Click the "Reconnect LinkedIn" button

Authorize

Authorize LinkAssist on the LinkedIn page

Verify

Return to LinkAssist and verify the connection status

Disconnecting LinkedIn

To remove LinkedIn access:

  1. Go to Settings → Connections
  2. Click "Disconnect LinkedIn"
  3. Confirm disconnection

Note: After disconnecting, you won't be able to publish posts until you reconnect.

Account Management

Manage your subscription and account settings.

Subscription

View and manage your plan:

  • Current Plan: Free, Pro, or Enterprise
  • Usage: Posts and images remaining this month
  • Renewal Date: When your next billing cycle starts
  • Upgrade/Downgrade: Change your plan

For Pro and Enterprise users:

  • Generate API Token: Create token for programmatic access
  • View Active Tokens: See all active API tokens
  • Revoke Tokens: Remove access for specific tokens

Account Actions

  • Export Data: Download all your posts and analytics
  • Delete Account: Permanently delete your LinkAssist account

Permanent Deletion

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All posts, campaigns, and data will be lost.

Updating Your Settings

Settings are saved automatically as you make changes. No need to click "Save" -changes take effect immediately.
